UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on July 2, 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On October 28, 2010, World Extreme Cagefighting merged with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. As part of the merger, all WEC fighters were transferred to the UFC. This will be Cruz’s first fight in the UFC, and Faber’s second after he defeated former WEC Bantamweight Champion Eddie Wineland at UFC 128. Cruz and Faber fought on March 24, 2007 in the WEC, where Faber would go on to win via guillotine choke in just 1:38 of the first round.

Also fighting at UFC 132 is Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben in the Middleweight Division. Silva’s last seven fights have been against some of the biggest names in the sport, but he has only came out on top after two. Leben always looks as if he just left a battlefield after his fights, and has a slightly better record than Silva as of late. Both fighters desperately need a win to have any shot at being a contender in the Middleweight Division.
